To float or sink

They say when you start swimming
Some float and others sink
The fact that there's such a difference
Is something that makes me think
How come some people fall right down
While other stay up high
It's like the world just then decides
Whats written in your sky
But even if you stay afloat
There's no way to get down
And even though you start out good
You never reach the ground
So maybe you don't stay afloat
Maybe you only sink
But you have the advantage
For you can swim if you only think
The sinkers see their progress
As they learn to find the way up
But people who are on the top
Can do nothing, for they're stuck
The sinkers see the beauty
Even though for it they work
And the floaters they're already high
But on the surface they must lurk
