I made it to the promised land

Of a mended broken heart

I didn't know if I'd get here

Better off than the start

It's funny to look back on it

They didn't have a grip on me

There was so much more in the world

Than what I was able to see

I've made it to redemption

The land of being free

Making me happier

Than I was ever able to be

It doesn't hurt to see their name

On someone else's phone

And I found so much more to myself

Since they stopped being my home

I won't minimize my heartbreak

It certainly changed me

But that is not my all in all

I have more I plan to be

Where Reality Hides

And I realized that I lied to you

I lied to myself too

The lies became my whole reality

And I'm not sure of what to do

I lost my grasp on the real world

It slipped away from me

Where is this life that you all live

That I am too blind to see

I'm living between the gossip

And comments to make a stir

Is a messy drama blur
